Press Release: Fohhn Linea and Arc-Series loudspeakers have been installed in the Freemasons' Hall, Edinburgh, to coincide with its centenary year celebrations.
Fohhn Systems installed in Freemasons' Grand Lodge
Home to the Grand Lodge of Scotland, the building's visually impressive, but acoustically challenging Grand Hall has been equipped with two pairs of Linea AL-100 line source speakers for main coverage. Fohhn supplied one of the pairs in a special RAL colour to match the marble pillars on which they were to be mounted. Ten Arc-Series AT-05 loudspeakers in a white finish were additionally installed as fills. An FC-9 DSP system controller was also included, offering remote control capabilities and integrated Fohhn Audio DSP functionality for amplifier channels, as well as maximum protection for the system as a whole
In the building's Lower Hall, four AT-05s were installed to replace some of the speakers in an existing set-up. A black colour was chosen to blend with the hall's architecture and the speakers were horizontally mounted and fitted with transformers to integrate into the existing 100V system.
The installation was carried out by Edinburgh-based Live Systems.
